Three Special Travel Destinations in Taiwan

If you are planning to travel around Taiwan and are seeking something special away from the crowds, here are three secret places that I think you will enjoy.

The first very special place in Taiwan that I want to introduce you to is Alishan Forest Recreation Area. I think this place is enchanting because of its misty forests, towering cedar trees, and breathtaking sunrise views. When you go there, you should plan to take a leisurely stroll along the forest trails, ride the Alishan Forest Railway, and witness the mesmerizing sea of clouds at dawn. My favorite activity to do here is watching the sunrise, because it's a magical experience that paints the sky in hues of orange and pink.

The second very special place is the Penghu Islands. I think this place is captivating because of its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and unique basalt landscapes. When you go there, you should plan to explore the beautiful beaches, indulge in fresh seafood at local eateries, and visit historical sites such as the Penghu Living Museum. My favorite activity to do here is snorkeling in the clear waters, because you can discover colorful marine life and coral reefs beneath the surface.

The third place that I also highly recommend is Cingjing Farm, which is special for its lush green meadows and cool climate. Or you can also visit the Qingjing Farm if you like. Remember to take a scenic walk around the farm, interact with adorable sheep at the sheep-shearing show, and try the delicious dairy products like fresh milk and cheese.
